Our Mission

Established in 2016, Kuzuko Foundation is a nonprofit organisation dedicated to restoring and re-wilding the land of Kuzuko Private Game Reserve whilst uplifting and empowering the surrounding communities.

A story of love, conservation and community, the foundation strives to protect the land by providing environmental education and socio-economic empowerment to the local communities and young people surrounding the reserve.

Conservation

We strive to restore and preserve the natural environment.

Social Transformation

We strive to uplift and empower the local communities of the Eastern Cape.

Environmental Education

We strive to educate others on how to live in balance with the environment.

  • 35,000 acres of previous degraded farmland rewilded

  • 26 million spekboom cuttings reforested

  • More than 15 cheetah rehabilitated and rewilded

  • Over 20 native animals reintroduced

Our Impact:

  • Weekly visits to remote schools over the last year

  • Monthly visits to Hopewell education centre and safe-game reserve section

  • Ongoing provision of supplies, food, water, and maintenance to Bracefield remote school

  • Ongoing work experience opportunities facilitated
